There are friends with whom it's always easy to reconnect and have a good time. It took very little for us to feel like we had just recently met, even though it had been a long time since we last spoke on the phone. Jannan & Alex also had also other friends visiting, and we all little but quality time together. The little people did not have a language in common (German and Swedish being the closest bet), but that didn´t stop them from having fun :)
We tried to go to bed at a decent time, but ended up awake until a bit later than usual (23h for Sebastian). We think it was the excitement of the day and the new place, after 3 nights at Anne´s. The morning went also a bit more slow than usual, but in the best way possible: we all had crêpes together, ate too much <3 and kept enjoying until the last-minute visit to the campervan
(all children of the planet love a good look at a campervan!)
By 11h-ish we said bye to our friends, filled up at the local gas station (always cheaper than on the highway, like in Italy), and were on our way to Italy.
After all, driving on Sunday was a great choice: we experienced close to zero delays even in Munich, which is usually a hotspot. The only negative was in Austria, where we had to pay again the Tauri crossing even if I had previously bought a double-trip online - still valid. I still have to complain, and I might drop it - but it is quite upsetting!
We made sure I´d be the driver for the last part of the trip. We all felt relieved after Tarvisio when we could close the navigator and just head home.
