We were really excited to arrive in Lux after more than 5 years. We had a pleasant drive there and we reached our friends Anne and David´s house by 15h. We were on time to walk with Anne to get baby D. from preschool.
Over the next three days we had:
- dinner with Carlos, Gabriela and A.
- breakfast and lunch with Anne, David & D.
- afternoon play with Laura and Y.
- dinner with Marco, Stephanie, M. & A.
- pizza out with Ninni, Dori and Dario
- sampled the beloved Christmas markets with Ninni, Dori and Bob
- dinner with Anne, David, Laura, Gio, Elisa Toni, D., Y., T. & D.
- brunch at Claude´s
Put it like this, it looks like we ate all day long. Which we kind of did! But with healthy food and company. We had lovely conversations with so many great friends we have almost lost contact with over the years, and yet have a lot to talk about and so much in common. I found myself thinking how can I have so much in common with so many people that live far away. When I lived in Luxembourg only some of my friends had (really fun) children. This time we found out that our little people can have fun together – sometimes even if they don´t have a language in common!
The last thing to do before leaving Luxembourg was to fill up the tank, as petrol prices are among the lowest in Europe (if not the lowest).
We left happy to have made some more memories with our amazing friends, but sad to leave so soon.
