Since we were on an adventure, we decided to leave one night without a proper plan. The point was to visit one place somewhere off the Danish southern coast.
Great idea, but the campervan by night is a bit of an art, and we have not mastered it yet. We stayed in a lovely and sheltered place we found on camping recommendations.
It turns out the idea was good, but the execution was a bit poor.
For future reference:
- Keep an eye on the indoor temperature
- Keep an eye on the water tank
- A cold night can get everybody sick more easily
- The Danish coast is wonderful, but the wind is quite cold (reminding us of home, and me of the English coast)
The nicest part of this otherwise rather unsettling choice was that we got up, made coffee, waited for the sun to come up, and took a great walk around the forest and coastline. Everybody loved it! We were then ready for the few hours on the road to reach Paderborn (GER).
